Amáda Márquez Simula is running for the Minnesota House of Representatives in District 39B. As a Latina, she was the first person of color elected to office in Columbia Heights, and the second Latina mayor in the state. Beyond representation, Amáda is streamlining communication between various communities and government offices in one of the most culturally diverse districts in Minnesota. She strives for progress, removes antiquated obstacles, and works to update policies for everyone. Amáda is a constant advocate for equality, including renters, people of color, immigrants, young citizens, LGBTQ people, and people with accessibility needs. Passionate about public safety, sustainability, and technology, Amáda Márquez Simula consistently demonstrates informed, fearless, and creative leadership.
